How do you burn a fuckin movie using a Mac? I got files on my hard drive and I'm trying to burn them onto a DVD so I could watch it on my TV using a DVD player. I tried to get ConvertxtoDVD but I don't think that shit works on a Mac, so anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help...

you need roxio toast homie.

i downloaded mine using torrents.

EDIT: does your dvd player play avi's? If so, then you wouldn't even need to convert to dvd.

^^ Thanks homie.

Ive been doin a little research and I found that Roxio Toast or Popcorn is what I need. I'm about to try and download it using a torrent like you said...

And I doubt the DVD player reads AVI, but if it did, could I burn AVI files onto a CD-R and it would read them? Or would they still need to be on a DVD-R?

Also, what's the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R? Cuz I got DVD+R's since they were cheaper, but that usually ends up turning out not too good.

yeah, you should find it with no problems. Look for one that comes with a key, but if it doesn't just hit me back and I'll give you one.

Yes, you could burn the avi straight to a CD or DVD and it would work, without the conversion to a dvd file. This cuts the writing process down from an hour or so, to seven minutes or so.

DVD+R is newer and some older dvd writers may not be able to write on them.
