lol at the berner hataz...berner keep doin ur thang ur makin alot of moves lately thats good bruh least u doin somethin unlike these haters that are always talkin down on u ..far as ur flow is concerned obviously u aint gota jay z flow but ur raps is tyte..kinda remind me of haji in a way..speakin of haji whens that album droppin with u and dood?

Define the term 'hater' for me please.

If you took me out to Taco Bell, and bought me those 2/.99c tacos, and I ate them and thought they tasted disgusting in comparison to some of my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant tacos; would that mean I'm 'hating' on Taco Bell?

I don't understand why someone is a 'hater' because they happen to not like something and simply share their honest opinion on the matter.

I don't know much about Berner's music (aside from this song ft. Bun-B), and I have no reason to 'hate' on him.

He simply failed to impress me. His delivery, lyrics are below average in my opinion. I judge a hip-hop artist based on his lyrical content, delivery, wordplay, rhyme scheme, multi-syllable rhyme pattern, and metaphor use in punchlines. Sometimes a really good delivery can make up for the lack of lyricism. To me, not only does Berner lack lyricism, his delivery is just plain boring, IMHO.

If his rap-career takes off, good for him. It has no effect on me, at all. Nor, do I sit here and deliberately hope that he flops. I simply don't like his music.

First of, you DID reply to my shit. Your post is a bit contradictory, to say the least.

And please refer to the Taco-Bell example.

I don't like anything about his flow. Why would I feel necessarily to lie and say otherwise?

When a girl's pussy smells so bad that you just want to stuff a breath-mint in it, are you still going to eat it and then compliment her on it?

Because, your analogy is, if you simply don't like something you're a hater because you don't like it and didn't say anything good about it.

I'm sorry. But to me, that makes no sense. At all.

Now, maybe you happen to have a fetish for pussy that smells like in-between-toe-sweat, on a hot humid day. If you do, that is YOUR preference. I'm not going to knock you for liking it. So why would you knock me for NOT liking it?

Now if I make an effort to keep others from supporting Berner's music just because *I* don't like it, then I think that would make me a hater. If I start creating threads and blogging on youtube about how much Berner's music stinks and how nobody should buy his shit, then I'm a hater.

But to simply NOT like something because of a personal preference and be called a hater for it, is moronic.

I'd also be interested in reading Berner's opinion on this matter. Berner, do you feel as if I'm a hater? If so, why?

Props for gettin together with Bun-B for the vid. I was expecting much more from Berner as far as lyrics and voice though, perhaps spending more time writin and rehearsin would have paid off. Especially doin a song with a major industry name like Bun. This video right here could make or break whether other big artists would work with Berner in the future. Just my opinion, but all props for makin it happen and givin some shine the BAY.

the point of making a music video is to bring attention to your shit. all this "hating" or love is all attention.... a million plus views attention. The video did it's job. it brought attention not just to berner, bun b, and tektonic...but to the whole bay. so rappers should go out and put on their sunday clothes and make shit happen. if you think that all this attention is negative because you don't like berners style then you're stupid. and that stupidity will keep you working your 9-5 all your life. just my two cents on that.

and maybe your right, this is just your "average" street video. but its a successfull one. thats why all this attention means so much more. the bay can put out 10,000 "street" videos but if all of them stay on you tube with just 500 views then your video didn't accomplish jack shit.

People should be getting at berner to help promote their shit in the network he has built. maybe not as a rapper if you don't like his style but as a connect to bigger and better things. he's put more people on than most of you think. without the recognition for it. THINK SEAN COMBS.

never said there was anything wrong with having an average street video...especially since ive seen a shitload of below average ones...it was just my way of classifying it

The love bun b is showin the bay is a GOOD look for the Bay..but you not the one to represent the Bay.. I dont think you got the lyrics, swagg, or image to rep the Bay imo.. I respect your work ethic n grind.. I dont knock u there, U good with all the features... But thats about it... Also improve on ya rappin, it sounded off beat/funny at times... Video was on point, but like I said I dont think you should be the one trynna be upfront.. we need the better new bay niggas like beeda weeda, stalin, erk the jerk, evenodds, etc etc to do it first.. cuz to me and a lot of people, u a character...lol
