i don't know anything about this religion. but i strolled upon this explanation of wheter there is a god from some one who is a buddhist. It had me thinkin'. I liked. Thought i'd share. tell me what you think.

Q:IS THERE A GOD?

A:Well, okay, at the risk of being completely corny, it exists as a potential in every single person. That's what attracts me to Buddhism, because it's the only belief system in which there is no God at all. There is no big authority figure; there is no ultimate anything. You are God. And that's really terrifying. Suddenly, you realize, "Oh my God, that means I'm responsible, and there's nobody to grovel in front of, no one to blame, and no one to praise. I need to do this myself." That's almost more than anybody can take, but that's what I admire about Buddhism.

Buddhism has something like Christians 10 commandments, thru teachings you get 5 precents (i think they are claled) where:

1 No killing of any life
2 No drugs (except medical)
3 Not engaging in sexual misconduct
4 No lying
5 i cant remember but....

Also you have to answer to yourself, like you said he said, its you and if you break a precent thing, it will come back to you thru Karma. You want to perfect yourself to become a Buddha yourself. Plus find time for meditation.
