there is a bruce li and a bruce lee. bruce lee is the more famous of the two. bruce lee is likely the greatest martial artist of all time. he founded his own style of jeet kun do. on the other hand, bruce li is pretty good too. in BRUCE LEE's movie, game of death, bruce li is actually the one doing most of the martial arts in the movie, because the real BRUCE LEE died like less than halfway before the movie was finished. if you look closely at the movie, you can tell when it isn't bruce lee or not. i think that is either my favorite or second favorite bruce lee film. enter the dragon is also good if you haven't seen it.

not many places offer jkd hardly anywhere. alot of the places i have seen that do actually teach jkd, mainly only teach grappling techniques. i think basically the best place you could probably learn from anyone would be dan inosanto's school in L.A. he was kinda like bruce lee's right hand man as far as training goes, if you look at some of the old school footage of bruce lee training at home, dan is the one with him. bruce lee said before he learned martial arts, a punch is just a punch, and a kick is just a kick, when he started to learn more.....it was no longer just a punch or a kick.....it became so much more than that......but after he learned what martial arts was about, a punch is just a punch, and a kick is just a kick. something to think about. very smart guy. he understood the art better than anyone i think. not many people in our time have developed a style that actually works. "jkd favors formlessness so it can assume all forms." that doesn't mean that his style would make you anywhere near where his level of competence was though.

they have JKD schools in San Francisco...we saw one a while back...i'm a go check it out
One of them should be the actual Bruce Lee school. He lived in SF don't cha know. But to attain his strenght would be impossible unless you are willing to sacrifice alot of your time. This guys only weighed 170lbs but he was strong. He could throw a punch from a distance of 3ft in 500th of a second. He could also punch his fingers through soda cans (but back then they were made of steel i think, point is they were stronger than todays). There are lots of good sites about him but watch Dragon the bruce Lee story, it's a good source to get to know his history.

Maybe Nin Jitsu. They teach you how to kill, spy, and use cheap tricks to kill.

alot of that stuff in that movie was false, "hollywood" if you know what i mean. i don't think he ever had a school in san francisco, he had one in emeryville, and berkeley i think, and oakland or something like that, there is alot of bruce lee stuff in seattle, that's where he is buried. but yeah, he devoted his life to being in the best shape possible. you will never be as fast as him......so forget that lol

Really? I would have thought that it would be as real as possible since his kid played Bruce in the movie. Well if not San Francisco then maybe somewhere in the Bay Area. I'll look into it.

what are you talking about??????????? that was jason scott lee!!!!!!!! i think they are like 2nd cousins or some shit from what i heard, but definitely not closely related. actually, bruce lee does still have a brother that is alive, that movie leads you to believe that his brother died, not true. bruce lee's daughter shannon (maybe it's janet i am not too sure) is still alive. i heard she is planning to do a movie soon.
