well actually no.... alot of mainstream artists (mostly in da rape game) are wack as fuck and get played over and over....... and many underground cats are extremely dope and just got sum local success....

You wont catch many younger cats bumpin west coast music in the south. But the older cats grew up on that shit and still bump it (only 90's shit though) I remember in high school we used to bump tha fuck outta that Lynch Season of da Siccness I think that was like 94 or sum shit. Only folks out tha hood knew about that shit though back then. My patna from Dallas moved to Sacramento and he called me up one day and was like "Yo go get that Season of da Siccness mayne!!" At first I was like hell no that dude got that fucked up ass name I aint even tryin to hear that shit. but when I got it was like DAMN!!!! That was the coldest album Ive ever heard.
