Former WWE star Umaga hospitalized Edward Fatu, 36, is hospitalized in Houston and in what was described as life threatening condition by a long-time friend.

Details are sketchy at this point but he apparently fell asleep last night while watching television, and several hours later, his wife found him not breathing with blood coming out of his nose and he was rushed to the hospital.

UPDATE: According to a report by www.PWTorch.com, Umaga is rumored to be passed away. We will have an update on this breaking story as soon as more details surface.

Found dead by his wife with the probable cause of painkillers.. He had noosebleeds and bleed from the mouth

Former WWE Wrestler Eddie "Umaga" Fatu Dead at 36

umagaFormer WWE wrestler Eddie Fatu, known to millions as Umaga, passed away today at the age of 36 of an apparent heart attack.

Reports are currently sketchy at this point and the cause of death is unknown, but a few revelations have surfaced.

It appears that Fatu fell asleep while watching television in his texas home last night and simply never woke up.

His wife found him several hours later with blood coming out of his mouth. He was not breaking and unresponsive.

It has been reported that he was placed on life support in a Houston hospital and his family and friends were told to get there as soon as they could.

He was taken off of life support this afternoon.

Fatu was released by WWE in june after violating the company's Wellness Policy and refusing to go to rehab.

Most recently he was wrestling on the Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair tour of Australia.

No further details are available.

We are sorry to report that Eddie "Umaga" Fatu passed away. Members of his family were rushing to Houston to say their goodbyes before life support was turned off.

WWE has issued an announcement regarding Fatu's passing.
