Los Angeles, CA -
Shortly after departing Barney's in upscale Beverly Hills' Beverly Center, Los Angeles Lakers star, Kobe Bryant, was witnessed by several onlookers passing gas as he waited for valet to bring his vehicle around. Though it is not certain, many eye witnesses strongly believe that was was indeed fecal gas being expelled from his anus.
Frank Calloway, an attestor who works for the Simon and Miller Law firm across the street was a mere ten yards away from the seven-time all star when the supposed gas was emitted. He had this to say, "It was definitely a fart. He lifted his leg and everything. I think I even saw him crinkle his nose. You know, like he smelled it and was displeased."
However another bystander who preferred to remain anonymous disagreed with Mr. Calloways account. "I don't think he was displeased with the smell at all. I distinctly remember a smirk surfacing on his face seconds after he lifted his leg. If his nose did crinkle, it was because he was satisfied with the smell. I'm sure it did smell good."
Another witness added, "Yeah, man. right after he lifted his leg and passed gas, I kinda saw him jiggle that leg. You know, kinda like he was trying to shake the stench out from his pant leg. Trying to air it out, ya know?"
Despite the conflicting points of view, one thing is crystal clear: Kobe Bryant experienced a bout of flatulence. How this will affect his play on court is unclear at the moment, but NBA analyst, Marc Stein, says Laker fans have nothing to worry about. "Believe it or not, NBA stars pass gas all the time. Whether or not it will have an impact on his game on the court is unclear at this point, but I'm willing to bet money on Kobe being the same ol' Kobe. Just look at how he responded after the rape allegations. This guy handles pressure better than anyone else in the league."
