the whole point is that no one with even the slightest knowledge of hip hop, especially people on this forum, should be calling it "breakdancing" anymore. there is too much information out there, people shoudl know what's up, otherwise expect to be compaired to 1980's suburban white kids and get called a fraud.

should anyone be taking hip hop culture lessons from white suburban generation x'ers, probably not. because they probably still do things like call b-boys breakdancers.
Are people with knowledge and respect for native/aborigional peoples and their culture still calling them Indians? No, only people that don’t care or don’t know any better.

You’re on a hip hop forum, you should care and you should know better. At one point in time most people in here probably called it “breakdancing”, but at some point some people grew up and gained a respect and knowledge of the culture and others apparently didn’t.

Dude...you takin' this a little too far. Who really cares anyway? I grew up callin' it breakdancing...and I will always call it breakdancing.

I say the word maybe once every 5 years anyway...so why would I care to call it something different...cause I'm on a hip-hop message board?

I came to this site almost 10 years ago cause I was listening to Lynch rappin' about eating babies...not cause I cared about being a b-boy. I mean seriously...do you get more brownie points cause you call it something else?

And if I get called a fraud...that's okay. I'm white, and I grew up in the burbs. I don't see how that matters though...I could do a mean head spin when I was 5.

Coldblooded means this: "break dancing" is the media term. The real term is B-Boying or Breakin. Personally I couldn't care either way. I've called it breakin, b-boying, and break dancing, but then again I really don't care for the style.
