I'm always in that area... my homeboys studio is right behind those projects. I believe they're called Pico Aliso. What you need them for (outta curiousity)? I might be able to take a couple flix for you..

Thanks, it's sleepylagoon.com lol. I need pics of boyle heights projects on East 6th St. I think it's call "Pico Gardens." Nevermind, just found this out "1997 Demolition of Aliso Village and Pico Gardens housing projects begins and residents are dispersed. Reconstruction of housing units proceeds according to nationally-implemented new plan, Hope VI." My friend left in 96'.

Yeah, a lot of those projects have been rebuilt and look like new apartments with the exception of signs that say NO TRESPASSING LA CC on every house. I heard those projects used to be real messed up before they rebuilt them, and you still have to watch your back in that area.. A couple months back someone got killed outside the liquor store when I was there and bodies turn up under the bridge by the 101 from time to time

East la is crazy but not any crazier then south central inglewood watts longbeach or compton. I remember visiting my cousins that use to live round lincoln heights i use to see them lil 10 year old eses str8 up jack muhfuckas for real and be like what! lol

I never seen the "Pico Gardens" projects but my boy was tellin' how crazy it was when he used to live there. He was shot at, at like 10 or 11 years old and he was shootin' back at the age. He told me the other dudes had kept all the guns including tech 9's and machine guns in an abandoned car in the projects. And when it was needed they'd take it out and bust at the other dudes across the street. He was tellin' me it was one projects against another right across the fuckin' street, I was told there was hella murders between those 2 projects.

I know where you're talking about... they rebuilt the projects across the street also, and down the street from that there's even newer and nicer housing going in (not sure if it's section 8 or condos- if it's condos I need to look into coppin' one)..

the projects that are still kinda grimey are the ones by the Sears tower. When you're hungry at the studio and you're tryna make a run, the only places are right by there and those ese's are no joke
