You can thank Humberto Soto for that. He was scheduled to rematch Urbano Antillon, which was an awesome fight last december and was going to be the best fight on the undercard guaranteed action, but Soto decided fuck shit up by not signing the fight, leaving top rank and going with another promoter (and he did this all last week or two), so now he's going to fight Daniel Estrada on 6-25 instead which no one cares about.

Funny thing is he wasn't even under contract with Top Rank, he was more of a free agent, so he could have still fought on the Pacquiao undercard and never work with top rank again if he wanted. stupid.

soto would or should win the rematch though, just a dumb move on his part. I mean who wouldn't want to be seen by millions of people on the undercard of the biggest fight of the year? smh

I'm curious to see Pavlik back though, hopefully he's all better now.

That's fine. To say that I don't enjoy watching boxing because I didn't like that fight is a reach though. You know damn well I enjoy boxing but that fight just didn't do it for me.

One thing I did enjoy from that fight though was how Hopkins was working the body. He throws what might be the best body shot in the game from an orthodox fighter

The fight was labeled as great because it's Hopkins, first and foremost.
It was in someone elses backyard and French Canadian's get LOUD.
Then the decision was controversial.

The fight itself, the actual action inside the ring, was mediocre at best.

^^ that's what I was saying.

There was some drama because of the knockdowns and you were kinda left to think maybe pascal could stop bhop with a good shot on the chin but he ran ALL night. I've never seen someone start a fight running like that from what I can remember.

If Diaconu comes in ready to go to war, I think he can close the gap on Chad and make it a good fight. Pascal/Diaconu 1 was a great fight.
