HBO is reavalueating their 9 fight deal with Wlad Klitschko after his 2nd round loss to Corrie Sanders.

Former pound for pound champ and one of my all time favorites Pernell "sweet pea" Whittaker is off to the big house for 27 months for violating the terms of his probation. I hope he can get in a program and get himself on the right track to staying clean, the man could be a tremindous trainer.

In more Boxing legal news it looks as if former Heavyweight champ Riddick Bowe while out and waiting to turn himself in for an extended prison sentence for kiddnapping and stabbing his wife, was arrested for beating his current wife. Some guys never learn.

And coming up close by in Fresno (Lemore) Floyd Mayweather Jr will be fighting this April 19th. If you are in the area come and support Boxing, and check out one of the better fighters going today.

You always on the boxing scene....ain't many boxing fanz in here that pay attention to the detail news and so called "small" fights on here.

For some reasons we get about one boxing post a month with a couple replies. I'm a huge boxing, ufc, and pride follower.

I heard about all that news u posted, I can't believe Klitschko got dumped on. Maybe I fell into the Klitschko hype, but I think he would take sanders if they had a rematch.

Gatti-Ward 3 in the works, but I don't wanna see that shit...2 was enough. Gatti-Tsyzu , that will be major.

Echols is OFF this weekands showtime card, kcuf that....

Hopkins is bein a whinny kid so he could be at the top of the tua-rahman fight.

Finally, Jones jr. should get his ass in the ring with tarver, after tarver dismantles montel. Tarver has a good shot at jones.
I been waiting for that since Tarver whooped Harding.

Tarver/Jones intriques me alot more than most of the fights out there for Jones. I got Jones byTKO, Tarver leaves himself to open. But it would be a good fight and I know Tarver would press the issue which would make it very watchable.

Hopkins has dissapointed a lot of people since beating Trinadad. Before that he was fighting for peanuts and would take all comers, now he has priced himself out of almost any fight worth watching.

Also it looks as Mosley/Oscar is back on with HBO kicking Shane some more cash to get him his 4.5 mill payday that he got in their first fight.

It's good to see boxing fans in here.
Boxing is the shit, at least to me.

Big,
I'm a bettin man, if Tarver ever fights Roy, I'll pick Tarver.
I just see an upset in the making because of the styles.

As for the Oscar and Mosley fight, I heard Oscar threw in another $600,000 to the original offer. This money came out of Oscar's pocket actually.
I thought I heard Mosley turnned it down though.
But I could be wrong....

As for Kiltschko,
for some reason I think he will be back. He showed very good skills when he whooped on Mcline.
And Mcline was a very good fighter.
I think Klitschko will win on the rematch, he clearly over-looked Sanders.
You gotta give him props though, he kept gettin up.
His innexperience bit him in the ass as he chose to fight back instead of holding on when he was hurt.

I'm also takin Tarver to take out Jones.
Obviously this doesn't mean that Tarver can take Ruiz, or Tarver is a better boxer than Jones is...
I just thing Tarver can land a hard clean shot on Jones, get him dizzy for a sec, and then bomb on him.

I hope Hakkar messes up Hopkins, even though I have no idea who Hakkar is.

Shane-Oscar....not a big deal to me, but I saw Oscar takes him.

I wanna see Margarito vs Mayorga...and Forrest vs 6 Heads as the undercard. That would be a nice line up.

I agree with everything you said.
Well except for the Hopkins part.
I've always been an executioner fan, he's a fighter for the history books.

Yeah, I can see Tarver knocking Jones out too. Crazy but that's reality for you. He has a huge reach advantage and will actually use it unlike Ruiz.
Every fighter has a nemesis, no matter how good a fighter he is.
Mosley looked unstoppable until Forest handed him his ass.
And Forest looked to be the new Welterweight king, but didn't last long till he got knocked the fuck out.
Same for Holyfield and same for Tyson.
And the same for Roy. Tarver has all the looks of the typical spoiler.

Margarito VS Mayorga, that's a good match up!

How about Juan Manuel Marquez against any other champ?

Jones was on Howard Stern and was talking about fighting Holyfield and Tyson, but he wants mad cash to fight them. 50 Mil for Holy and 100 Mill for Tyson. I cant see him getting either of those figures. So if those arent open and his mandatory #1 contender is Vitali Quitsko, then I see Roy going back down to handle business were he should be anyway, thus making the Tarver fight looking more realistic for the near future. I would take Roy and would be willing to bet just about anything. The thing is if you are taking Tarver you probably will be able to get pretty good odds online or in Vegas right off the bat.

@Big E,

Roy is talking about fighting Holyfield now.
Now he's trying to hype Holy up tryin to make him look as the great fighter he isn't anymore.
It's funny that Roy first dissed Holy sayin that it would make no sense to fight him since Roy beat Ruiz whom just beat Holy.
I agree with Roy having said that.
What I don't agree with is Roy changing his mind about fighting him now.
To me, Roy is ducking Chris Byrd just like everyone else is.
A fight with Byrd would be a great fight. Byrd isn't a big heavy weight, but a very good one.
Byrd is the best heavy weight under 225 lbs in my book. I can't think of any other heavy weight better than him.
So to me, if Roy wants to really show that he's the best in the heavy's without having to fight monsters who would crush him like Lewis, he needs to fight the best "little" heavy weight.
And that is Chris Byrd.
What's my pick? I don't think anyone under 225lbs can beat Byrd, he's too good. Would probably even knock Roy out.
And Roy knows that Byrd is the only one who can match his speed, he ain't no dummy and that's why he's staying away from him.

As for RJ fighting Tarver, Roy said yesterday that he's gonna have to take the back seat. He plans on fighting him on the way out to retirement.
And you are right, Roy would come in the huge favorite in this fight since Tarver is unknown.
I picked Forrest to beat Mosley the first time they fought.
I picked Rafael Marquez to knock out Tim Austin.
I picked Mayorga to knock Forrest out.
And I'm picking Tarver to beat Jones....

I just openned an account with an online Casino.
I'm droppin money on Rahman to beat Tua next week.
Tua is a 3 to 1 favorite. And if you remember, Rahman was takin Tua to school the first time they fought. Then Tua hit him after the bell and Rahman never recovered from the punch.
The odds of this fight ending up in a draw are 26 to 1, I might drop lute on this too.

Ibeabuchi was the man. If you have never seen the Byrd/Ibeabuchi fight I advise you to pay what you have to and get a copy, cuzz Byrd got his ass handed to him. Ibeabuchi would be in control of the Heavyweight division if he wasnt such a fucking nutt, that dude has mental issues.

As for Jones ducking Byrd, I dont see it. If Roy stays at Heavy he has to fight Vitali or he gets stripped of the belt. Jones will make much more money fighting Holyfield than Byrd. So Roy will drop the belt to get paid and fight Holyfield, but not to fight Byrd. The Byrd fight has a lot more risk with a lot less in the payout. Its sad but thats what Boxing is to Jones now a business, but its his own life and well being so he can do his thing. I would take Jones over Byrd though also, Byrd has limited power and his moves and quickness would not rival Jones.

the only two fights i would like to see roy take would be holyfield than byrd......i think he would beat holyfield in very similiar fashion as ruiz.....if yall think the tarver fight would be competitive than why not byrd.....hes bigger faster and physically stronger than tarver, and he wont be standing in front of roy to be hit....that fight isnt a guaranteed roy victory and i think roy is aware of that fact, thatswhy hes not really giving it any consideration.....he made a little more than ten mil against ruiz and would probably get the same if not a little more against a more credible opponent(meaning byrd)....in fact byrd is the only one of the three i would pick to beat roy....i know one thing for sure,i dont want to see roy beat any more over matched light heavies including tarver.....he would have that mans corner picking his jaw fragments up off the floor.....and if its about the money im sure he could make more for a fight with byrd being a heavy than tarver, who if your not a REAL boxing fan youve never really heard of.....and im gald to see oscar and shane will be fighting in september....yall think it will be any different at 154 ???im not ready to make my pick just yet, all though the first time i won scratch on mosley......unless somebody from 154 is going to move up to fight hopkins he should fight the three 168 lb champs in the span of the next year and a half then cal it a career....cuz we know in boxing some cats age over night, and at thirty eight bernard dont have much time left.....

I took Mosley the first time and I will take him again. Shane has all of the tools to beat Oscar like he showed in the first fight.

As for Byrd yes he is a Heavyweight, but this guy hits like a super middleweight. He is a slick fighter and has great defense but his main advantages are his speed and defense over other Heavy's, against Jones the fight comes down more to an actual Boxing match and with Jones being the quicker of the two and Byrd not hitting with anything that counts I take Jones easy. I would almost go out on a limb and say that Tarver would probably pack more of a punch than Byrd.

I think Ibeabuchi landed a lucky punch on Byrd.
Ike was good but not as good as some cats think he is, I thought Tua clearly beat him but Ike got the decision anyways.

I think RJ is made for Byrd. I just don't see RJ making an ass out of him like he did Ruiz. Byrd ain't gonna fall for his shit and is fast enough to trade punches with him. RJ hits like a goldfish at heavyweight and Byrd is a soft puncher but definately the harder puncher of the 2. I see Byrd winning by decision as RJ will wear down in the later rounds.

That De La Hoya VS. Mosley fight's gonna be real good.
I thought the first fight was a draw at least but oh well.
Oscar fought the wrong fight, which played into Mosley's plan.
It all depends on Oscar this time around, it will be an easy win if he boxes Mosley. It will be tougher if he goes in toe to toe again.
Either way, De La Hoya will come out on top.
Mosley won't be as effective at 154lbs.
My prediction, Oscar will win decisively by decision. He can even win by knock out but that depends how well Mosley can go 12 rounds at 154lbs.

The Tua Ike fight was a classic and set the punch stat record for Heavyweights. I can see maybe Tua winning a very close decision but no landslide by any means. I had Ike winning by two rounds, I was there at the fight and have the tape, it was very close and I can see people saying either fighter got a close win, but not a clear victory or lopsided win.

Ike had a stunning pace for the fight with Byrd and his pursuit and size caught up with Byrd and when Byrd tried to play on the ropes like he still does to this day Ike caught him and finished it, I dont see it as luck, it was early on.

Either way the man is a nut and has gained a lot of weight. If he does get out they will hand feed him some bums and build him up to get put down by a top Heavyweight, he will never be the same.

As for Shane/Oscar I cant see how anyone could have scored that fight a draw. I had Shane winning 8 rounds to 4. It will be different this time around and I think Oscar has a better chance. Still should be great with a lot of great exchanges, Oscar is more prepared to fight Shane than he was in their first fight and if he does go toe to toe I think he will do better than he did the first time.
