Judge admits scoring error!
"I just screwed up!" says Clements...
Judge Burt Clements, who controversially scored Manny Pacquiao's three knockdown round 10-7 instead of 10-6, told the Las Vegas Review Journal after the fight that his scoring of the round was an error. "Clearly, it wasn't non-awareness that there were three knockdowns," said Clements. "I just screwed up. I feel badly because I dropped the ball, plainly and simply. You can make a lot of arguments that it was a very close fight, but that's immaterial. The fact is, I dropped the ball." Clements stated he was under the impression the Nevada Commission did not like 10-6 rounds. Had he scored the round 10-6, Manny Pacquiao would today be the WBA/IBF featherweight champion.

I doubt his stupid ass really messed up, he probably got paid off. My point is, technically, down to the correct scoring, Pac won the fight. Not your correct scoring, not my correct scoring, but the JUDGES correct scoring.

After the fight,
I turned and told my bro that some judges sometimes score rounds with 3 knockdowns as 10 - 7....

This ain't the first time and won't be the last time.

Why do they score them like this?

Back when the 3 knock down rule was in effect,
reffs rarely let fights continue after 3 knockdowns. There for the lowest judges would score rounds was by 7 points.

But now that there is no three knockdown rule, all judges should start scoring fights as low as possible.

Oh well....
