Boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr will have a new tough guy ally in his corner when he steps into the ring for the fight of the year in May (07) - rapper 50 Cent.

The In Da Club hitmaker helped the fighter celebrate his 30th birthday at the weekend (24-25Feb07) in Las Vegas, where Mayweather will fight Oscar De La Hoya.

And 50 has plans to help Mayweather make the most of his fight night - by providing him with a hardcore rap soundtrack to help him get in the mood.

A Mayweather insider says, "50 has suggested a hitlist of tracks that may help Floyd get mentally fight prepared. In return, Mayweather has passed on some training tips to 50. They've become good friends."

50 Cent will be among the stars cheering on Mayweather ringside when he fights De La Hoya at the Mgm Grand Garden Arena on 5 May (07). (c) WENN

50 is making a movie about a boxer, and he's training with Floyd Sr out in Vegas.


Everytime I hear some shit about this fight it adds to the hype, and pushes me closer to getting retail raped ( No Homo )by these scalpers...LOL
