HERESY, WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON Dominionism? This man at my work is convinced that our reasons for invading Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. and our military presence across the globe are because we are preparing for the return of Christ. America and her allies are preparing for the fight against good vs. evil and George W. Bush is truly a man of god.
^^^I was at the Sonoma County Fair last summer, and I was at this booth where this woman was selling a bunch of those Russian type dolls, the one where if u open it, theres a small one inside, and one inside of that one, i cant remember what they were called. So they had a bunch of W., and i was gonna buy one cuz i thought it'd be a funny gift for someone....so i asked this woman, who was foreign, she sounded Russian/Eastern European, how much they were. Instead, she rambled on about how she liked Bush because he was making a contemporary crusade for Christianity and religion in general, blah blah blah. I just walked away.
The sad part is I realized, and was slightly embarassed, that I really hope that countries around the world don't believe this bullshit.

@206 your friend is an IDIOT. I do research and know a lot about eschatology but my take is kind of different. In the bible Yeshua (jesus) speaks of those who will KILL you in the name of "GOD". He speaks of those who will kill you and think they are doing gods service. Well this is a PRIME example. Bush has been KILLING people in the name of god, america has been killing in the name of god etc etc etc. Now this brings me to something VERY important.
The bible speaks about the church and how church people will deliver others to be killed, beaten and thrown in prison. Thats not far fetched when the majority of churches will soon be 501 (c) 3 and under the faith based initiative. Which Brings me to the next point.
The RETURN of "CHRIST".
Christ does not need the earth to be "rescued" and no passages in scripture hint at that. What needs to happen in order for him to return? Well certain prophecies need to be fulfilled and the earth needs to be CORRUPT. IMHO the earth is at the CORRUPT stage now. Simply take a look at AMERICA.
This leads me to the next point which is probably the most important.

Christian sheep who won't question or take a stand. Now imagine those sheep being told the messiah is here. Imagine them following this messiah and doing everything he said just because someone else said he was the real deal. Imagine them taking microchip implants. Imagine them giving up tangibles and embracing a paperless currency based on credit.
Two roads. One is the broad road which the majority of people follow. This is the road of the SHEEP, CONSUMER, TREND FOLLOWER and IDIOT. These go on to live in a "created" world. They believe everything is ok and seem to be concerned with 401 k plans and well.......nothing.....
The other road is for people who think for themselves but heed THE HIGHER POWER. They arent concerned with trends, could care less about earthly things and tend to speak out when wrong doings occur. These tend to be ostracized, killed or slammed in jail with trumped up charges........They see the world as it is......DOOMED.....
The government and church want EVERYONE to go the wide road route.....

Some Jehohovas wittnesses came to my house the other day, talking about the end of days are comming! One of them started talking about how all the wars were going on and that even in the Bible it mentions how nations will rise against each other. Playing devils advocate I asked her well isn't this a good thing, this means Jesus is comming! She just kinda looked at me odd and said well I don't take a stand on the war. I kindly took their pamplet and they were on their way. What I cannot belive is the Evangenical Christians in America who belive that this war is a good thing and that Christ's is comming.

Thats a good question and to be honest I don't think she would have been able to answer it. What makes this time in history any different? We can look at a couple of things. Let's start with Communication. Right now I'm able to talk to a person in china, negotiate, make deals, money or even order a mail order bride. All by picking up the phone or using the internet. The entire world is connected now in some way. You didn't have that 100 years ago. Take a look at your old kingdoms, babylon, greece, rome. The further they stretched out the more tangibles and land they acquired, but that comes with a price. Let's take rome for example. If they were able to expand and cover the globe you would have roman influence in every country.
Let's consider resources. In the past nothing was run from gas and oil wasn't pumped from the earth. Our society/global economy is dependent on oil/gas. Without it everything will return to the dark ages. So as you can see the stakes are much higher now. You control who gets what, how long they get it, how much it costs etc etc etc.

I agree with this but you have to understand something. The majority of those opressed are people of"color". Not only that but america is not fighting because of american oppression. America is fighting because of lies, greed and power. The iraqi's are fighting because of oppression, those in israel are fighting because of oppression.

Certain wars have been fought over women. Certain wars have been fought over "turf". Some wars are waged for monetary gain. I don't see war as a contest of righteousness. I see it as a battle for survival.

I thought about asking her. I could just tell that she was real nervous. Plus there was a little girl there about 11 who read out of the Bible, I could tell she was nervous. I didn't want to make a scene. I must admit though the reason I didn't get into the conversation with them is because it was 1:30 on a Sunday. The Seahawks were playing and I didn't want to miss the game. I just thanked them and they were on their way. They offered to come back, I thought about it, then I was like no I don't think that would be a good idea. She gave me a pamphlet. I read a couple pages then threw it away. I got a question for ya. Who would be your ideal leader and who do you follow? Or better yet what is your purpose for arguing in here? What are you trying to teach and what goal are you trying to accomplish by teaching people stuff? Jus curious. Just tryin to get a better feel for you. It's obvious you read alot and have strong opinions on things. Where did you go to school at or where did you pick up these things and are you a part of some type of specific group? I ask in truth and so should be answered.
