There are many ways to kill my friend. Not just with bloodshed. You can kill the idea of a man, you can kill the will of a man, you can kill the beliefs of a man.
Yes I understand your logic but when you kill the ideas of a man he may form new ideas, when you kill the will of a man he may be able to form a new will and when you kill the beliefs of a man maybe he wasn't firm in those beliefs. I'm talking about KILLING. I'm not referring to crushing someones dreams and aspirations.
So yes, we all kill in the name of "God", higher power, or greater belief.
It's IMPOSSIBLE for "all" to kill in the name of "God", higher power, or greater belief. How can it be possible for someone who doesn't adhere to a "god"? Once again what I'm talking about is someone KILLING. THE PHYSICAL ACT OF KILLING/MURDER. Not all people commit the PHYSICAL act of killing/murder and do it in the name of god. Thats like saying I smoked Nitro and I said "GOD TOLD ME TO DO IT, BECAUSE NITRO IS EVIL".
And defense and offense go hand in hand with war.
As for "crusade", telling people that all Christians are devils and then sending people over to suicide bomb themselves sounds not only like Muslim "crusading", but if I'm not mistaken also sounds like an offensive move or to put it how you put it sounds like " a christian extremeists guy blowing up an abortion clinic".
Muslim extremist possibly do tell people all christians are devils etc etc etc. However you have to consider *WHY* they are using suicide bombers and "terrorist" tactics. Do you see palestinian TANKS mowing over israeli homes? Do you see palestinian choppers launching missles at homes? No. Maybe you should understand the history and WHY they do the things they do.
When I said war is a contest of righteousness. I just meant that war is a contest for who has the right idea, belief, system, etc.
I disagree. When wars are started and carried out due to greed how is it a contest of right idea, belief etc etc etc? Yes the winner will most likely dictate what goes and what stays (influence) but I don't see it as a contest of righteousness. Maybe it's your use of the word that confuses me.
The real War is only won when all wars stop. Someone will eventually win and it will all be according to God's plan or whatever you call the higher power of Good's plan. Order will always prevail over chaos because even chaos happens in it's due time.
ordo ab chao.....not good my friend....
If my quote contradicted "Americas war on terror" then underline "that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men" and italicize "Fear God" and you should get my point.
You have a foolish man "leading" the country, leading it's people to war and no longer fearing GOD. That's the point you should get.
"I believe that everything you do bad comes back to you. So everything that I do that's bad, I'm going to suffer for it. But in my heart, I believe what I'm doing is right. So I feel like I'm going to heaven." -Tupac
You can feel like your going to heaven 24-7....that doesnt make it TRUE...
"Not every one that saith unto me, "Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."-YESHUA...
