That's something I'd like to read, too. The only problem with a personal experience is you never know when somebody's lying. Have you ever read any books on astral projection?
The great philosopher Plato referred to a "dream body" known as an 'astrum'(from which the term 'astral body' came from) in his writings. Plato insisted that the astral body could roam both space, time and alternate realities if it could be harnessed. He spoke of how such a state could be achieved through an altered state of consciousness. Obtaining this altered state of consciousness requires many years even decades of practiced form of meditation.
A type of photography known as Kirlian photography invented in the early 1960s could supposively take a photograph of a person's 'astral body'.
Ever heard of the drug DMT(N,N-dimethyltryptamin) overwise known as the 'business man's trip'? At high doses it induces an altered state of consciousness into a dream-like world which holds no concept of time, reality or space. Some people believe this to be an astral body journey. The trip on DMT itself lasts about 30 minutes tops but people have told of detailed trips with so many events that it seems such an expierence would have been days, even months long. When taken at the high doses suggested for the expierence a person instantly goes unconscious for about 30 minutes tops (hence the name businessman's trip).
I've tried DMT myself but I've been too scared to try it at the high doses which induce the altered state of consciousness (it scared the shit out of me, i only took enough to trip for 10 minutes, and I was awake the whole time).
Check out this link which tells all about DMT;
