Interplay will be launching the Genesis games Earthworm Jim 1 and 2, Boogerman and Clay Fighter on the Virtual Console "later this year."
The games were originally released in the 1990s.
Interplay revealed earlier this month that it would be leveraging its catalog of classic owned IP in order to build up enough funds to develop an MMO based on the Fallout RPG franchise.
The embattled company, which recently got a second chance at life by selling the rights to the Fallout series to Fallout 3 developer Bethesda for $5.75 million, said it needs "at least" $30 million to develop the Fallout MMO. (Interplay licensed back the rights to develop a Fallout MMO after selling them to Bethesda.)
Interplay also said that it intends to develop sequels to its owned properties, which also include Dark Alliance, Descent and MDK.
The company recently reinstated in-house development and has hired on game developers.
