As ya'll probably heard, the infamous samoan rap group Boo Yaa T.R.I.B.E. has been recording their new album. We can now reveal all the inside info about it, and.. OH MY GOD IT'S BIG! On paper, this could be the album of the year, I hope it lives up to the expectations!
Okay, let me break it down for ya'll, the record is called West Koasta Nostra and is set to come out September 2nd on Sarinjay Entertainment. The album is ENTIRELY produced by West Coast legend Battlecat (don't believe BC and Boo Yaa hooked up? Click here for proof), and if that wasn't big enough for you, this will definitely be: One track is produced by Slim Shady, yes you heard right Eminem! So the production side should be off the hook for sure, and Boo Yaa are known for their hard rhymes. But they also went and got some guest features to appear on the record, and they're crazy too! You want a list? Here we go..
Kurupt
Mack 10
WC
Crooked I
Eastwood
Gail Gotti
Knocturnal
B-Real
Kokane
Mr Short Khop
... and Eminem!

One of the many things that make this album so special, is the range of artists that appear on it, and many of them, as you see when looking at the list have had beef or tension. Crips and Bloods, all together on this record. Here is what Godfather had to say about this: ³You see we are viewed as the big brother of the industry. At one time on the West Coast, everyone worked together. Our goal with Battlecat was OUR way, OUR thing! That¹s why we call it West Koasta Nostra. This whole album is about respect! Whether these other rappers like each other or not, they¹re doin¹ it out of respect for Boo Yaa TRIBE. We have a family and we have unity, which cannot be denied." He also spoke on Eminem, the most successful rapper out right now, appearing on West Koasta Nostra, "Eminem is a true artist. Big companies with big money are trying to get hooks and verses from him, he liked our family, and he wanted to give back to somebody who¹d lived the same struggle. It may not be the same struggle but he can identify."
Is this big or what? MAKE SURE TO SUPPORT THIS RECORD, go out and cop it, and of course stay tuned to dubcnn for the newest info (and audio) on this album!
