Bob Moog special on T.V last night.

Came on P.B.S. interesting shit! They were on the mini moog for a minute. I seen one in some photos of an Eastsidaz studio session . Is there anything comparable for less loot?
has anyone used the software version?

Bob Moog is an interesting and weird dude. i saw a special on him last year. it's interesting that most people still mispronounce his name after all these years.

How do you pronounce it? I've heard it a couple different ways. m-oo-g, m-oge?
I messed with the software version didn't really love it.

yeah the software versoin aint shit on the original... the fuckin mini moog with the midi mod on it is classic.... you just gotta warm that bitch up or it will sound funny...

It was great to meet Bob Moog at AES last year and shake his hand. He's got an incredible scientific mind.

I've had great results from using both Arturia Minimoog V and Gmedia MiniMonsta (comparisons show the MiniMonsta to be a closer emulation than the Arturia synth). Don't discount the software emulations, they are incredible. Just look into getting a decent midi control surface so that you can use the knobs with your hands instead of a mouse.
