They're an MC (Logic) and producer (Sabzi) who met while students at the University of Washington. Logic is from Bremerton, WA (a navy town a 20 minute ferry ride from Seattle) and Sabzi is from Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood.

Their music is definitely fairly described as conscious rap, which I do not like the vast majority of the time due to typically poor production and over-preachy lyrics. However, I like these guys. Sabzi is the more talented of the two, i.e. I would buy music from other artists over Sabzi's beats before I'd buy Logic rapping over other producers beats. Sabzi's sound is very unique, I can't really think of anybody in the Northwest or beyond who crafts a sound quite like he does.

These guys are also unique in the sense that Logic is Filipino and Sabzi is Middle Eastern I think, that's not your typical hip-hop duo right off the bat right there.

Sabzi is the one who really makes those guys go, his beats are ridiculous.

I would love to start seeing his beats all over the place in this town, not just w/ Logic and and that other dude who he's with in Common Market.

I want to see some of the more harder hitting faster paced rappers, like C.O.L.A. ^^ for example. That would sound awesome, some of the right lyracists w/ Sabzi, like the Evolution of Hip-Hop compilation a few years back when guys like Self Tightld and Skuntdunanna got on a bunch of Vitamin D (i.e. more hip-hopish) beats and it sounded amazing.
