1. Baha'i Healing Prayer (intro)
2. Second Chapter
3. Opening Salvo
4. North by Northwest
5. Ordinary Guy
6. Still Got Love
7. Bayani
8. Loyalty
9. Fire for the People
10. Xenophobia (interlude)
11. The Distance
12. Back Home
13. 50 Thousand Deep
14. Morning of America
15. Joe Metro

This album is pretty cool, I like a few tracks. I uploaded two of them above...50 Thousand deep is about the WTO protests in Seattle...tight shit.

Any opinions? Seems to be some-what popular...I know it's not "gangsta rap" but it's North West regardless...

i dont think hippie rap is quite how id put it, but they definitely do think outside the box and show people places and experiences around the world that sober up people's viewpoints. its really a shame that their call to arms is mostly heard by those of privledge and not by more of those in struggle because the music is that strong. i hope people give biyani a chance, even if "kufi rap" isnt their taste

and even though sabzi is a bangin producer, id say you gotta respect them cause they're one of if not the most successful local artists that's not a producer since mix-a-lot. big ups to geo and sabzi

i think album isnt available yet, the release party was the only place to purchase, i think it hits stores nationwide early june?

These guys are hippie rappers but you've got to respect them b/c of Sabzi's production.
I wouldn't call them hippies, socially conscious yes but definitely not hippie. I think their type of music captures the spirit of Seattle much more accurately then most other NW hiphop.

You know...that's the vibe I got out of a lot of Hip-hop out there too when I lived in Everett! I was bangin "Wetlands" by Source of Labor yadig? Same kind of sound?
I like that social concious stuff sometimes man.

Never called them hippies.

Called their fans hippies b/c most of them are. I am one of them, however.

The Gregster put it well. Go to the poorest parts of the Seattle-Tacoma area and nobody's even heard of the Blue Scholars. You go to the North End, Queen Anne/Magnolia or especially Capitol Hill and they're huge. Remember that video they shot for "Freewheelin" off of their original album? Let's just say the mass of faces in that video were pretty light...

^^^
Not that that's bad, there's nothing wrong with that. The Gregster got it right.

Where can I order this online??????

I heard them on The End 107.7 the other day, it was funny because Dj No Name was criticizing KUBE for never airing local music. Which is true, I cant fucking stand KUBE.
