I will have the honor of getting my Spliff Star on for Blame's last Show...as well as rocking two Joints of my album...one featuring Blame titled "Currency".
Below is a message from Blame One....The North County Don..
BON VOYAGE!!THANK YOU ALL FOR THE LOVE!!!
I want to start this by saying that I have and always will be a die hard hip hop head. I started rhyming about 1983. My first vinyl recording was released in 1998 with my group mysterys extinction on a record called "the blast off compilation vol 2." I have four solo CD's and an almost impossible to find solo cassette tape along with a couple solo vinyl releases. I started out using the record and pause method or just stealing other peoples instrumentals and rockin em. Now its 26 years since I started writing rhymes on paper and 11 years since my first vinyl release. I quit rhyming after I released "priest, thief wizard" out of my frustration with my progress and was convinced to keep it moving. Glad I was convinced because that is what brought me to release "days chasing days" which has been an overwhelming positive response from the people. I know many of you are just now hearing about me for the first time and I thank Exile and Soulspazm for believing in the project and making that happen. Im 34 now and a proud parent of two. I feel very content with the work I have released, especially my last two albums. I feel that its time for me to try my hand at a new venture. I never set out to rhyme to reach stardom, only for my words to be effective in reaching others. I feel that I have accomplished that. Of course others will disagree and I'm perfectly fine with that now. I chose not to tour like my peers because I am a full time dad that also has a full time job. I could quit and see the world but then I would come back and still have to feed my family. I am perfectly content with that choice as well. I have two shows coming up this month which will be my last. I am going to fall back and see what the next generation has to offer on the mic. I always loved being a fan just as much as I have being in front of the crowd. I will continue to be a great fan and support those pushing the culture forward. I want to thank all of you who have supported me and my music. I love yall! Thank you to the pioneers from SD and worldwide who let me grab the torch and run with it, if even for a minute. Big up accesshiphop for puttin alot of people on game when I was feelin hungry. Thank you to Deja, Kan Kick, Exile, Hoax, Dame, Ben hall and Rath khy for being an instrumental part in my progress (these cats I mentioned prolly think im just goin through a mid life crisis right now...hahaa) I am no longer writing raps, recording, doing collabs or shows after this month just to be clear. Thank you to all of you who have supported me and my music over the years, I love you for that! More Guidance, More Love, God Bless... But enough about me.... HIP HOP YA DONT STOP!!!!!!!!!
if you got respect for dope music this is a not miss, this cats has done so much to push the Hip Hop culture in SD forward...
Respect
