it does. I'm creole, we celebrate the living rather than mourn the dead. at my funeral I hope people will be laughing and thinking about good memories rather than crying and feeling hella depressed. and after the funeral we have a party. this shit about treating death like its unnatural or something is corny. death is a part of life, and to me life is funny. I must truly be a bad person for laughing at a comedian :rolleyes: do you take this kind of offense when people make fun of elvis?

My uncle died of cancer on friday, I'm heading to LA for the funeral tomorrow morning. If it was something satirical, then I'd rather have a laugh than a cry. thats just how I am.

well if there was some way to make fun of cancer.....besides the fact that you become a skeleton before you die....I've lost a few family members to cancer and had others fight thru it. the thing is steve irwin put himself in the spotlight, once you do that the world will ridicule you for anything. my thing is a comedian made a joke that I found funny, so I laughed. for some reason, 99% of the siccness got steve irwins back and won't allow anyone to laugh at anything regarding his death.

i can see where defy is coming from about the celebrating rather then mourning, but id rather celebrate how someone lived instead of how they died.. but i didnt know irwin personally so it doesnt bother me as much seeing these.. but it must hurt his fam tho..
