HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) -- A fugitive international swimsuit model, accused of operating a global crystal meth out of a Hollywood apartment, has been arrested in Australia.
Simone Farrow, aka. Simone Starr, was an Ed Hardy bikini model and a Penthouse magazine "pet." She also made FHM magazine's Sexiest Women In The World list three times.
But authorities say Farrow was leading a double life trafficking high-grade crystal meth, hidden in shipments of bath salts.
The 37-year old Australian was first arrested in October 2009 after flying to Australia, while the United States DEA was raiding her Sunset Boulevard apartment, allegedly seizing drugs and documents.
After posting a $150,000 bond in February, Farrow skipped town.
Police finally caught up with her last week, at a hotel in Australia's Gold Coast.
Authorities have accused her of packing bags of high-grade "ice" or chemicals to cut the drug in bath salts, then sending them in parcels marked "bath products," "pants" or "small fountain kits."
She allegedly used at least 19 aliases with FedEx and UPS to mail the drugs to New South Wales and Victoria.
But the 37-year-old denies the charges, claiming she was in hiding after running for her life.
"The only reason I've done this is because someone was trying to murder me," Farrow told Australia's Sunday Telegraph.
"I've been in ... relationships with numerous underworld figures or whatever you want to call them and I feel that maybe they feel threatened by my situation."
