Taking how ESPN positioned the dispute between Couture and White/UFC Management, I wonder if there is far more to this new "M-1" organization than people understand, far more money.

When I see this clip, it is pretty obvious that they are giving Dana White, and indirectly UFC management and really shitty image issue, I mean ESPN is a huge network, and this particular report, they put White in a really bad light considering the quote they used. Millions of people watch ESPN, its a huge News conduit, and its considered a news/opinion authority in the sports world on a number of issues.

Maybe there are forces at work that want a piece of the MMA market share, and that could not happen because of Zuffa being the only supplier of high level content?

Its hard to say, but I am sure organized boxing, that has been a big part of ESPN's viewership draw for a long time, is dwindling due to MMA on free TV nights. Maybe they want to show things, but because of SpikeTV's deal they cannot, and they can't get high level content from today's smaller shows(BoDOG, KOTC etc).

Something to ponder.....
