For me, I'd say the middle of the Spring...or the last week of Spring. I feel like it gives cats 3 or 4 months to soak it up before school and all that bullshit starts again. But, everybody has their own reasons...good question Kontac!!

When the buzz about that rapper or group is real high. Tight promo, word of mouth and a strong buzz equals higher record sales. Ask KANYE WEST. That TWISTA track put him over the top cuz the booches love it!!!!!
the best time to drop is when jay z or emimem are not dropping.... just pair up your release with a decent release date with enough popular music that will create store traffic but not over shadowing your own release... soak that....
