For a minute there I thought the cop was going to butt-fuck him...

Attitudes of US cops is really messed up they seem to be on such a power trip you would only see in underdeveloped countries.

But I think the system they are following in the US is wrong too.. most cops work alone instead of in pairs which creates a whole different enviornment for the cops and the persons they are aprehanding or harrasing what ever which way. Most of the times they have to be like this so they can intimidate more persons when they are in a hazardous situation and a lone, which you don't come across so often if you patroil in pairs. But in this example it was totally uncalled for.

But you guys can talk more about them then I do the police here is so much different them in the US. I am really glad I don't have to deal with these fuckers I would have been thrown in jail many of times when I would have to deal with "upholders of the law" like this.

You don't see this type of shit happening anywhere in Europe the only thing that comes close is the Guarda Civil in Spain and they are not police officers they are leftovers from Facist Gerneral Franco. They don't give you a power trip either. They beat your ass and kick you back to the curve.

If this exact same thing would happen here in Holland the cop got his ass sued and probably suspended or fired from his job.

From the other side of the fence this cop is bad for other cops too, cause cops like this give us reasons to hate all cops, when in reality there are some cops that really just do their job w/o emotions or discriminations be the judge of the outcome.

the cop was right, he could take him to jail just because he felt like it

cops have too much power, but what can ya do?
yeah, this definately after watching it, is by far a power trip. the cop is just
trying to do whatever he can to get him in trouble, and the law thinks that
guys like that are properly inforcing the law. all hes doing is taunting him into
doing something, thats when you quit listening and just tell him that hes in
the wrong and take him to court for it, which i hope he did save the video in
the end, thats funny.. lol.. but yeah..

exactly...cops have discretionary power, they can take your ass to jail even if you didnt do anything

you see it with protestors all the time. they're not doing anything wrong, but police lock em up until they're released...the protestors can go back on the street and do it again, but they'll only get locked up again, which stops the protesting (right to free speech and peaceful assembly) from happening...cops have the power to ignore the consitution...who says we're not living in a police state?

I got pulled over when I was 17 and the cop was a dick, fucked with me and the passengers big time. Made us get out in the rain, sit on our knees in the mud. After about a half hour of bullshit I mouthed off to him after he wrote me up for a couple bogus infractions, being young & dumb as I was. He went back to his car, came back and first asked if I wanted to fight him "man to man" said he'd throw down his belt & gun, ah no, then gave me a ticket with an additional 10 infractions or so. So about 15 in total. Everything from speeding, illegal lane change, tint too dark, etc. I had a lawyer drop all but one or two but still, shits ridiculous.

I couldn't let that one pass on me if he would also take off his badge.... but you probably did the right thing
