Pistol Pete Maravich was hands down the best college player in history. If anyone tells you different, there probably playing favoritism with someone. He was the best college player in the history of its existance, you can not convince me otherwise. Would he have done as good as players in recent history on Duke or Arizona? We will never know, thats why you cant say NO. Alot of people on here will argue my point, but im stickin' to it.

Damn this is a tough one, but I will say...... Isiah Thomas!! He was the first player to not let B. Knight hold him back and Knight then agreed and let him loose unlike alot of the other talented players Knight has had, and he singlehandedly ripped shit up and won a title and only played 2 years of college I believe!!! GOT EM!!!

Pete Maravich averaged 44.2ppg 6.4rpg 5.1apg throughout his college career. Won Player of the Year in 1970. He still to this day holds just about every major scoring title in NCAA history. The guy could shoot from downtown too, they never had a three point line when he was playing. The only time he ever got to utilize the three point line was in his last year in the NBA with Boston, he shot 10-15. The facts are clear, he was and always will be the best college player.

David Thompson had a huge NBA career also. He was a scoring threat. One of the more classic moments in NBA history is when the scoring tittle came down to the last game of the season between David Thompson and George Gervin. The exact years and totals slip my mind but Thompson scored like 50+ to get the scoring tittle and in the Game later that night Gervin scored 65+ to get the tittle back.
