Ok when I was in Santa Cruz/Watsonville Area I would go to a place called "Aldama's Carniceria Market" to get some Carne Asada(Skirt Steak) This is one of the few places I know that does not use lime and cilantro to marinate their meat.. Don't get me wrong that is good and all but it gets old. After the butcher slices it up thin and trims off all the fat, he opens a plastic bag and puts all the meat in. He then takes kikkoman teriyaki sauce combined with diced garlic and one can of Milwaukee's best beer and mixes it altogether and seals it in shrink wrap.I just bought some of this meat this past weekend for a beach BBQ party for my sister when I went to Aptos and everyone was asking for more. Can one tell me where I can find a place like this in the Valley? Preferebly Turlock Modesto Area? You would think this would be a simple question but hear I am asking on the siccness cause no one local can seem to give me an answer as soon as I mention no lime or cilantro.

Thanks

You can always go to Safeway and ask them to slice you up some meat and marinate that shit yourself, especially since you know exactly what they used and did...
I thought about this as well only I might use very very teriyaki instead of the one they use. I was more curious if there is a place out here that does it. And I didnt know Safeway sells the same style skirt steak. Last time I got 10lbs of it and finding skirt steak that has 0 fat on it is very hard to find.

Yeah I know what you mean. I know of a few good spots in Sac but I'm not sure about your area.

On a side note: Summer requires carne asadas at least once a week.

you lookin for carnicerias by eastside modesto, westside, north,or south??You could go to the Mi Pueblos or San Miguel on the southside, and on the westside you got carniceria michoacan right by mi pueblo.I dont know about the east and the northside dont got shit cuz its all rich white folk area
