here is a lil somethin for everyone ,I copied from jazzy D

HOW TO START A RECORD LABEL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.CHOOSE A NAME.
2.ESTABLISH AN OFFICIAL ADDRESS.
3.FILE A FICTITIOUS NAME (DBA)STATEMENT WITH THE COUNTY.
4.GET A BUSINESS LICENSE FROM THE CITY.
5.GET A RESELLER'S LICENSE FROM THE STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION.
6.GET A MANUFACTURER'S I.D NUMBER FROM THE UNIFORM CODE COUNCIL
7.DESIGN YOUR LOGO.
8.PRINT SOME NICE BUSINESS CARDS,MAILING LABELS AND STATIONARY.
9.OPEN A SEPARATE BANK ACCOUNT FOR YOUR NEW LABEL.
10.GET A NICE OFFICE SPACE OR SET IT UP AT HOME.
Get a business license if you need one after you've filed your DBA,you should make a call to the business permits division of your local city hall to find out whether you need to apply for a business license and/or a home business permit. Some cities don't require you to have a license if your business cost somewhere between $25-$100.
Register with the uniform code council. This ID number is what you will use to create the bar codes that will allow retail stores to identify you as the manufacturer of your CDs.This process will take about three weeks and will cost about $300.I know this is a lot of money homie, but if you want to get your CDs into major retail stores you've got to have bar codes, and in order to make bar codes, you 've got to have a manufacturer's ID number. The phone number is (513)435-3870.

At this point this info is legal documents and if you had to go to court dates and times are on them that would be sufficient if you cant afford to pay for the trademark
