Figure we could use a new thread for the new season starting next week. This season will feature a women's 115 lbs. tournament to crown a champ as well as men's bantamweight and heavyweight tourneys for inaugural champs. Also featuring the championship fights between the season 2 winners facing the season 1 champs.

The third season starts Thursday, August 12th at the Seminole Hard Rock in Florida and features first round fights of the women's 115 lbs. tournament and the men's heavyweight tourney. Also featuring a "super" fight between Hector Lombard, coming off his 6 second KO of Jay Silva, against ex-NFL player Herbert Goodman.
Super Fight
Non-Title Middleweight Bout: Hector Lombard (MW Champ) vs. Herbert Goodman
Tournament Bouts
Women's 115 lbs. Bout: Megumi Fijii vs. Angela Magana
Women's 115 lbs. Bout: Jessica Aguilar vs. Lynn Alvarez
Heavyweight Bout: Eddie Sanchez vs. Neil Grove
Non-Tournament Bouts
Lightweight Bout: Yves Edwards vs. Luis Palomino
Bantamweight Bout: Tulio Quintanilla vs. Brian Eckstein

ya I'm not too familiar with any of the women besides Mega Megu and Zoila Frausto, but they can both throw down and will probably meet in the finals.
I really like the HW tourney too. Konrad, Grabowski and Hae Joon Yang are all cool prospects. Yang's like a goddamn Korean Mini-Carwin

You know I'll be watching .. I'm still upset they're finally doing a show down here and they do on the regular season Saints home opener.

1. Because I have season tickets
2. Because it's the worst business move of all fucking time. We just won the Superbowl it's not like we're the fucking Jaguars. That was terrible scheduling.

I was going to go to the Chicago one in 2 weeks but I heard from a friend that went last season that the setup was terrible and no one in the crowd could see shit because it was on a stage in a theatre.

That's a pretty nice card all around for tomorrow. Definitely wanna see how Konrad's submission defense is and it's gonna be tested against Lloret and I've also been hearing a lot of hype surrounding Grabowski even the videos I've seen of his aren't all that impressive despite his record..

^ He was getting his ass handed to him by Kita and landed an upkick that cut him and stopped the fight. Still think he's better than everyone besides Konrad, who hasn't even looked very good in Bellator.

How'd we let this thread hit the second page with a pretty dope card happening tonight?

Joe Soto (144.8) vs. Joe Warren (143.6)
Bryan Goldsby (135.8) vs. Ed West (135)
Zach Makovsky (134.4) vs. Nick Mamalis (135.8)
Ulysses Gomez (135.2) vs. Travis Reddinger (135)

Joe Soto takes on Joe Warren in a 5 rounder for his 145lb Bellator strap. I like Soto and I really like watching him fight. I'm interested to see if Warren has 25 minutes of grinding in him against someone like Soto that can end a fight with one fuck up.

Goldsby is in the tournament on the strength of an upset win over Jeff Curran and Ed West I haven't seen much of him besides his IFL fights. Goldsby gets a chance to prove if he just caught Curran on a bad night or if his skills are legit.

Mamalis is another guy who made it in the tournament by upsetting a guy they had hopes on putting in there. They matched him against Oshiro and he beat him Oshiro down, took him down and ended up choking him out. I'm pulling for him here but he doesn't have an easy night tonight. Competitive fight..

.. and you have another dope fight with Gomez vs. Reddinger. Gomez is real solid from everything I've seen of him .. I fully expect him to grapplefuck Reddinger.
