So yeah, I'm finally investing a little bit of time & money into something I've had alot of experiences with throughout my life. I've had some conversations with some buddies of mine who are part of the local paranormal investigative association here in the Twin Cities, and I've also talked with Grant from TAPS (TV's "Ghost Hunter") & he gave me some solid advice on getting going. So I'm going to be starting up my own little investigations. Already invested in an EMF detector, also have my digital camera. Currently looking into which digital voice recorder I'm going to get, along with a digital infrared thermometer with probe, and an infrared camera.

So I'm pretty excited about all of this. I've had alot of personal experiences, as I said before. When I was 6, I was getting ready for bed, and right after I laid down I noticed something on the window out of the corner of my eye. I looked over, and there was a glowing white face that almost looked devilish staring back at me. I put the covers over my head & then looked again, & it was gone.

After my grandmother died, the very next day, I was laying in my bedroom with no windows open eating nachos. All of a sudden out of nowhere I was overwhelmed by the smell of roses. It stayed for about 10 seconds, then it was gone. Right back to the smell of my nachos.

When I was 15-18 is when I experienced the most. Saw a green glowing figure outside my window on the ground near a tennis court outside our building. Experienced MANY shadowy figures shooting by out of the corner of my eye. Also had separate occasions in the same one week timeframe where I woke up with extreme tingling "good" sensations that lasted for about one minute, and then extreme suffocating, almost demonic sensations surging throughout my body which lasted about a minute (seemed longer) where I couldnt breath or even scream out. I had a sleep study done and I have no issues with sleep paralysis or anything of the sort.

Many, many other experiences, those just came to the top of my head.

Just curious if anybody else has done or is looking to do work in the paranormal field, or maybe share some of your own personal experiences?

I recommend to leave the camera and/or recorder in front of your bed you're sleeping in all night and then next day you wake up, upload it to computer and play, see if anything makes an appearance, that would be definitely interesting shit.

I say try to join your friends paranormal group if you haven't already tried, it'd seem like a smarter idea, financial wise, then after awhile if you want start your own go for it because you have the experience and knowledge now. I'd like to see you post any evidence you get from doing this I'm always into that kinda stuff. I'll post up some of my experiences in a sec.

I've had some experiences throughout my life also. As a kid I would wake up in the middle of the night and felt as if someone was choking me, I'd take my shirt off and look and nothing was there but yet it was very hard to breath.

One time when my cousin was sleeping over he woke up at like 1 in the morning and told me to look at the floor next to him there was white kinda orbish lights on the ground moving, I thought it was a car driving by because in my room they would reflect all the time but no car was there. We have a picture of my dog who passed away like last year in our front room and sometimes it will move or fall when there is no wind or no breeze felt. Same goes for a picture of my grandma who passed away when I was a kid.

Also my uncle told me a story of how one of his aunts used to have no legs and her room was in the attic, one day they heard someone running up there, but no one but her was up there at the time. And this prolly wasn't paranormal but one time me and my cousins were walking around the house at night with flashlights just to get a lil scared and we saw what looked like the outline of George Washington's face in the wooden door lol.

I'm trying to think of more.

^ My wife and I are planning on doing some investigations with them, but as far as joining them right now they're pretty much set as a group, they've got a very efficient way of doing things and they've been doing it for years.

But yeah, we're taking it as a learning experience every time we discuss things with them... cant wait to go out on some investigations..

yeah, we're planning on doing that at some of the hotels we'll be staying at that are supposedly haunted :)

oh, we also decided on a digital voice recorder... its an Olympus W-10, nice, cheap, & effective, and also takes digital pictures at the drop of a dime which is nice to know as a backup plan if something were to go wrong with our digi camera

As far as personal experience goes.... I've woken up early in the morning and in the corner of my bed I saw a big hooded figure just floating there. I was frozen for about 10 seconds, I closed my eyes. I woke up later... don't even know if that was a dream or not..

thats strange, I've had a couple of those same types of experiences, waking up around 4 am and seeing something that looked 8 feet tall hovering over me staring me down, and I distinctly remember seeing my digital clock both times which is why I really tend to think it happened & wasnt a dream

the thing wasnt hooded, but it definitely had me frozen
