lol. u actually want people to just say fuck it if it ain't west? the east is rapping over dirty south and westcoast beats, the dirty south is rapping over westcoast and eastcoast beats. It's a way to grab the attention of an entire audience instead of an entire coast. What really needs to happen is Westcoast artists need to start making music that appeals to the West, East, North and South but still keep reppin the W. and if u want rappers to release mixtapes on original new beats then why wouldn't they just release an album or a compilation? They'd make more money that route than putting all the effort, time and money into a little mixtape.
