Hey beat makers... what program you all use on the computer to either MAKE beats totally, or, at least digitally enhance them?

One of my friends had Reason before he got locked away and he said it was the most professional beat program "software". Im talkin strictly computer programs. Fruityloops is pretty low class/newbie.

What'chu all use?

hey nothing is wrong with fruity loops, it is a very good program to start out with

i made some pretty nice tracks that sound pretty darn amazing

reason is really really good, my advice is look for some synths that no one else uses to develop your own sound

I use Cubase VST with Battery (drum sampler), Halion (sampler), Model-E (mini-moog emulation synth), Pro-53 (Prophet-5 emulation synth), Lounge Lizard (rhodes emulation), and a few more. It all is done via a pc. I urge others to check out similar setups because it is the way of the future....

i like to use ACID PRO 3.0 to chop up samples and also use all the delay and reverbs for the tracks... i don't know if ACID 3.0 Pro is the best, but i'm so good at it, it'd be stupid to change, i've basiclly master'd that program

but i have a question... what is a "Synth Emulation," ? because I don't feel like buying a new keyboard, and i been wondering if there's any programs, that is just like a keyboard, just that its all inside the computer... i heard about "Reason" but reason has a lot of stuff i don't need, or already have... is there anything out there that i can just make dope Synth / Bass Lines.. like if i was to on a keyboard?

Logic Audio is Platinum is what you want. It uses virtual instruments that are so tight that I don't even use my gear anymore. I used to use a Korg Triton and MPC2000, now they just collect dust.
