I'm in daily contact with Boise State fans, and it truly borders on ridiculous. I almost got into a fist fight a week ago with a guy because he almost cried when I said I thought Oregon (now) would beat BSU if they played, even in Boise. Obviously, it doesn't matter, but his reaction was funny...

Also, they still cling to that win over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl as if it happened yesterday. I call them a junior college. LOL. Also, when I bullshit with some of these guys about their team, and laugh at their schedule, I've heard tons of great shit...for example (heard on Tuesday from a customer at work):

"When we signed up to play Bowling Green and Tulsa, they were real good."

"Hawaii is the toughest place to play in the entire country."

"Boise State has the best defense in the entire country."

"Kellen Moore should easily win the Heisman."

If BSU goes undefeated, they should be national champions."


Seriously. I live like 2 hours from Boise, and the cute bumper stickers, and decals, and of course, the orange t-shirts and visors and caps and pants and vests and windbreakers and flags and license plates...Jesus Christ.

5 years ago...only Alumni were supportive of BSU. And then, you might catch a BSU polo or maybe a bumper sticker. Now, everyone and their mother's best friend Diane is a part of the "Mighty Bronco Nation"...
