usc has no one to blame but themselves. and they havent looked like the best team in the country in most of their games this year.

I think Florida and Oklahoma are the top 2 teams in the country, but Florida still has 2 games left. I don't see Florida St. beating them, even with all this ''rivalry'' hype. And Alabama...no, no thanks.

so USC loses on the road to an Oregon St. team that is on track to win the Pac-10(for what it's worth) that's lost to two conference champions and Florida loses at home to an unranked opponent. I understand and agree with how tough the SEC is, but I think SC is just as good as Florida.

I think Florida deserves to be in the National Title game. Every team has had there one slip up this year, but Florida has looked the most impressive outside of that game. Especially compared to USC. USC struggled with Stanford for 3 quarters and Arizona stayed pretty close.

My point, exactly. I don't excuse the loss to Ole Miss; that was bad. No reason for that.

BUT, they've come back strong with BIG wins vs. some very good, quality teams. I completely understand the SUC (excuse me, USC) arguement, about losing @ Oregon St., vs a loss AT HOME to Ole Miss, by Florida. My only answer to that is this:

The only ranked teams that USC has beaten since their loss in week 3 was Oregon and Cal. They were fortunate in squeaking by Arizona. I think Florida winning @ Georgia, and beating LSU and South Carolina, and the closest game since their loss being a win by 28 pts @ Vanderbilt, is enough to put them ahead of USC. They look dominant, something USC hasn't. Sure, they have vs. Washington and Washington St., but we could put a team together from this site alone to beat BOTH of those teams, if we were blindfolded texting on our I-Phones...

Point being...Florida SHOULD BE ahead of USC.

As far as the championship game...you know my stance on that.

Same here...unless there's something crazy happening, which could happen. Florida COULD lose to Alabama in the SEC Championship game...but I doubt it. Oklahoma could lose again; I just don't see it, though.

Obviously, I'd like to see Florida in the championship game. I'd like to see them face Oklahoma. If not...maybe Texas, or USC. And if those teams stumbled...I'd love to see them face Boise State, of all teams. I could probably make in excess of a million bucks in the money I'd make off of all the BSU fans I know, thinking the Broncos could beat the Gators.

yeah, don't get me wrong, their performance against oklahoma in the 2007 fiesta bowl was pretty cool...

being a sooner fan i like this thread...and on some real shit...oklahoma will jump Texas when we beat Oklahoma State...an upset could happen but wont...oklahoma knew they needed to win big against tech who is far better than okstate and beat the shit outta them...florida has looked good this year but if ur comparing 1-loss teams...oklahoma is the best one loss team hands down...we lost to texas by 10...all the other one loss teams..except for the big 12 have lost games to virtual nobodies....saturday is a big day comin up...sooners gonna roll on the cowboys and then we march in to kansas city and slap chase daniels around like we did last year on our way to a record 3rd straight big 12 championship....
