So what do you guys think? An 8 team playoff? Would that work?
I think 8 teams with the best records in the nation no matter what conference their in should have a playoff. Its bullshit that an undefeated team like Utah, Boise State, or Ball State (assuming they win out) might have to play in a shitty bowl game while a team with 1 or 2 losses could possibly play for the national championship just because their in a "BCS Conference".

I wouldn't agree with that...if that was the case, why wouldn't USC schedule Idaho, New Mexico St., and ITT Tech every year to make it easier to be undefeated?

And why should a team like Boise State, who's biggest win came by 5 points at Oregon State, beat out a team like Texas, for example, who may finish with one loss, to Texas Tech?

USC is one of 6 teams to never play a Div 1-AA team in an OOC game. The Pac-10 as a whole does not play very many FCS steams a year. Arizona plays N Az every year and WSU plays Idaho ever year as a rivalry game. Po St also plays NW Pac-10 teams.

THe SEC is KING of scheduling cupcake teams every year to boost their records, which to me is complete bullshit and thus me hating the SEC. They are now, FINALLY, begining to venture outsde their region to play teams like Cal and ASU.

Anyways, an 8 team playoff would be the only way to work it, becuase unmlike pros, these kids have school, and only so much time can be alloted for sports.

That's kind of my point...I don't think (besides Citadel) Florida, for example, had a bunch of cupcakes this year. Hawaii got stomped @ FLA, but Hawaii has been a solid team the past 5 years. My point was...if they chose the teams with the top 8 records, we'd probably have 40 undefeated teams, with USC playing MIT and Florida playing The College Of Southern Idaho (who doesn't have a football team) and Oklahoma playing the Dallas Cowboys' cheerleaders (home and away) every year.

BTW, what happened to that Sooner Cooter fan, anyways?

I don't know about beating them out by why not have them go at it in a playoff game to see who's more deserving?
