use:

lemon pepper...garlic salt...some sort of creole/cajun (down south) seasoning and find a bbq sauce you like (or make the one you like) ribs are one of the easyer things to "bbq" because to keep em real moist and tender you have to acutally BBQ not grill...other then that there going to come out pretty much the same lol......

certain sodas act good as a marinade. works good if you don't how to add ingreedents real well and it will cover up alot of taste. rootbeer does great, as for the rub go head a do a light something since you are a beginner. garlic, paprika, salt, cummin. and just go ahead and let them cook. stay under 300 -275 too. check them babys about 3 - 31/2 hours and see where there at. just don't let them go too tender.

note:your time maybe off due to off of how well you oven does. and don't check too often or the juices will get out.

I suggest investing in a smoker. I just bought a new one this past Superbowl weekend and ive used it almost every week storm or sunshine. A buddy of mine hooked me up with a bag of Jack Daniels oak barreled woodchips and the taste comes out unbelieveable.

But yea oven cook them in low heat and watch the meat fall off the bones off them badboys..... Dont I mean dont marinate with bbq sauce until the last 30mins. Thats a most common novice mistake that im sure everybodies has done......

If you are 'bbqin' them in the oven, put them on really low, cover em in aluminum foil and let them cook all day.
yeah somethin like that.

i hook up the crockpot or 2 of em if u have. give it some seasons n some water in the pot n cook it on low. when u get home from work they nice n proper. real tender, prolly already fell off the bone by the time they r done. cover in bbq sauce and =)
