Not a great comparison. Unless u got an srt8 a lot of rice rockets will burn u with ease. And I'm pretty sure my gto would give a gallardo a good run.

But whatever maybe dude was feelin like I wasnt worth his time... But why buy a super car if u ain't gonna run it

Gallardo runs 12.4 1/4 stock and gto runs 12.8 1/4 stock. Mines is lightly modded. So ya I'd say I'd give him a good run.

LOL

Yeah...

They leave the Christmas tree and reach the finish line at drastically different speeds.

If every '06 GTO(assuming you have the LS2 because the LS1/6 '04-'05 doesn't run that fast) ran as fast as a Gallardo, GM wouldn't have had to kill the line after three years of production.

05 and 06 have ls2 bro.
Seems like we're splitting hairs at this point. Car and driver, road and track, motor trend ect, will all rate a car differently. We're talking .10s of a second.
Either way first gen lam gallardos aren't world beaters.
Would I have beat the dude? Prob not. Would it have been fun? Ya
So whatever.

The LS2 GTO is 13.9 stock, according to Car & Driver Magazine.
Shave half a second off of that time, and you have a better average. A lot of good driving and optimal tire pressue/warmth has gotten LS2 GTO's in under the 12 second mark easily without mods, but the LS1 cars are heavy and have the same LS6 configuration as my TA, so they are more apt to run a 14 second quarter. The TA's are lighter and can produce sub-13 second quarters, again if conditions are right and the driver is good. Mine ran a 12.9 with the previous owners driving skills.

In the back of my mind I knew that because I've always wanted a Cosmos Purple Metallic '04 GTO with the Ram Air hood and LS2, but the aforementioned options weren't on the '04 CPM GTO and that was the only year they offered that color.
