Thats just it though....due to EA locking down the NFL licence, NO ONE will top them. People want a REAL life feel in their sports games, and Madden offers that.

Madden OWNS all other football games due solely to the NFL licence.

Man i feel like the only person who dosnt give a fuck bout names.. I think this game would curb stomp fuckin madden.. Madden aint doin nothin new.. Pretty much releasing the same gear year after year maybe with some small features added.. I mean c'mon LOOK at those fucking tackles/graphics in that game.. Jus' by peepin out that 30sec clip i'd say its safe to say the gameplay is shittin all over maddens.. Then again thats just my opinion.. I dont give a fuck if i play my favorite team on a game, i'd rather play someone made up and have a game that looks like this one then play my favorite team on a gamelike Madden which i've played year after year..

It's time for something new football-wise.

What I don't get is how the NFL wants to have exclusivity on their license. When they are the ones that should know best that compition makes for a better product...I think most people that are in the NFL would agree it's better to have compition @ a position...same thing with vids...1 NFL game means they can sit around release pretty much the same game year after year and just add a few gameplay elements....we need to go back to open license and let anyone make an NFL game and may the best game win...

it looks coo but how is the passing game? can you catch the passes yourself or does the computer have to? how is the run game? is their a franchise mode? create a player? create a team? is there more then 12 teams? can you play online? how is the defense in the game? how are the play books? is it real nfl rules?

there is a lot of questions about this game, only thing it has going for it is the tackle animations, which look tight. but a companies first go at a football game usually doesnt work out that good. look at all pro football after 2k sports had some time off from making the game.

I don't know about the rest of the game..those are all good questions...from what I've seen and read it will be as close to real football rules...no NFL street or anything like that...but what's got me excited is that It's powered by euphoria engine....those ain't tackling animations like your used to seeing...each tackle or hit takes into account..the players body, height, weight, angle ect...so each time it will be different...it's not like maddens' or the old 2k where you will see only 10- 15 different animations....I'm a big Madden fan have been since I've been playing it on my old Sega...I can't remember ever getting hyped for a football game that doesn't have the NFL license...this might be the 1st one I give a good look at....we can tell how the running game will be by the gameplay trailer...if the passing game and defense and online play be on point might just have to pick it up...

backbreaker is just a platform for them to diplay their "euphoria" engine (an engine currently being used by GTA4 and stars wars the force unleashed ). dont think it will seriously try to compete with madden, bascially just one big tech demo in oreder to advertise their engine

the tackles are great thanks to euphoria, they say no 2 tackles will look the same because of how players are actually reacting to where and how hard they are hit rather than just a pre-determined animation.

dont think it will offer much outside of some exciting new gaemplay mechanics. we all saw how all-pro football 2k8 did without an NFL license and 2k sports was already an established football game producer
