in order to get more known, you muzt get better. in order to get better, you muzt practice. read bookz and shit, it'll give you a larger vocabulary which really helpz when you're flowin or writin. start tryin to uze multi'z (when multiple wordz rhyme) and work on uzin metaphorz. it requirez a lot of thought and at first it'll probably take a while to write shit. but az you get better tha rhymez will come to you quicker and maybe you'll even be able to spit a sick verse off tha top of tha dome.
yeah try to boost the vocab like he said.. those metaphors and shit really work good once u get em down.. try listenin to different rap songs and learn different rhymin schemes.. like instead of having one rhyme per bar u can mix in like two or more within the one line and make it sound tite.. once u good at writin them, practice and practice.. after u practice, tell it to people, cuz u gotta flow well in front of people too if u wanna make yourself heard..

here is a metaphor i used at one time....
"I'm lappin muthafuckas around this mothafuckin gangsta track"
i was talking about how, if it were a race, i would be so many steps ahead of them, i would be lapping their ass around the track. also, i was talking about how many steps i was ahead of them in the game with the actual track i was rapping on.
to some people, it just comes out naturally. i use metaphors quite a bit, and honestly i dont' really think it out, when i am writing that shit down as soon as it comes to me head, i realize alot of the time after the fact that it is a metaphor.
the best advice i can give you is: don't try and be like someone else. it definately helps to have a larger vocab. i failed english class 2 years in a row, and barely passed my sophmore year....but i still have a very good vocabulary. i don't read books either, so i dont' have any tips really on how to boost your shit up. maybe look at a thesaurus, and a dictionary to not only know what the word means, which is very important, but also another word that means the same thing. but don't only use big words and shit, cause that is annoying. you have to wrap it altogether. make your shit interesting. don't use the shit that has been used a million times. i know once i hear something that i have heard a million times, like twice in one song from a guy on his cd, i'll skip the song or just turn it off. also, your delivery is another way to keep peoples attention. and yes, practice makes damn near perfect.

reading bookz will also increase your reading speed, which can help your delivery when your rappin tha shit you've writtin. mozt people dont like to read, but it doez help.

i did poorly in school, but i did pay attention. that helps alot. listen to you teachers, alot of them do have good shit to say. pay attention when people talk. if you don't understand them, use context clues to help you figure that shit out. (like in a spelling bee, kids ask to hear the word in a sentence. you can figure out what the word means just by the shit around the word in a sentence.) i just started reading the first book i have ever really sat down to read on my own time in my life. i have heard some people tell me on here that they think i got words out of a dictionary, lol, but in reality i just picked up some big ass words by listening to people talk wherever i go and the shit just sticks with you. personally, i have never used a dictionary or a thesaurus to help me rap, or some bullshit rhymerator. just do you. the point you want to get across will come out one way or another in the end, and that's real

like i said, just pay attention in class. i never did homework cause i had to work over 30 hours a week my last 2 years in school so i didn't have time for that shit. but i paid attention and did well on tests and since the test grades are worth more than homework, i passed. but i failed english cause i didn't do those big ass reports they have you do.
