Audio/Midi interface + Sound Card....?

I've looked up a lot of 'em I wanna know what some of the pros here suggest. I notice a lot of new stuff out there.

It all depends...........

If you plan on having a big set-up.....then get something that will give you room to expand. If you're on a budget......then obviously your options are limited.

I used to have an Echo Layla20 (soundcard/midi).....but I got rid of it and use the Echo Mia24/96 now. I have a Steinberg MIDEX 8 midi interface.....8 channels of midi = 8 devices.....but I only have 5 right now (I left myself room for expansion).

Shopping for audio gear is like shopping for a car.......how much do you have to spend and what type of options are you looking for? The possibilities are endless.

Thanks you are about the fourth person to mention Echo! I am on a budget. But I really wanna go 100% digital. Bout to get a second job soon. Digital mixers are expensive! any suggestions in the area?

Take a look at M-Audio's product line also. They're solid. As far as digital mixers, people seem to like the Yamaha ones. Mackie has a new digital mixer (with touchscreens!) coming out that should bring the price of their D8B down.

MY NIggA DOBERMAN. WHAT UP CUZZ? IT'S FUNNY THAT YOU COMMENT ON THIS CAUSE I JUST SNATCHED THIS MIXXER FROM THIS ONE FOO' AND IT COMES WITH A SOUNDCARD. IT'S A ROLAND VM3100 PRO AND IT HAS AN R-BUS(RMDBII) CONNECTION WHICH CONNECTS TO IT'S OWN SOUNDCARD. THIS MUTHA-FUKA IS TIgHT. YOU CAN RECORD 8 INPUTS SIMULTANEOUSLY AND ALL SEPERATED AND IT'S ALL FROM THAT R-BUS(IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE A PRINTER CABLE). IT WORKS BEST WITH EMAgIC'S AUDIO LOgIC, BUT IT CAN BE CONFIgURED WITH CUBASE AND CAKEWALK. BUT IF YOU WANT A TIgHT SOUNDCARD, I gOT MY TERRATEC EWX 24/96 WHICH gOTS AN ANALOg IN AND OUT(L+R) AND A DIgITAL IN AND OUT, AT A PLAYA'S PRICE. PLUS IT COMES WITH ANOTHA CARD WHICH IS FOR THE MIDI CONNECTION(JOYSTIK PORT). SO gET AT ME MY NIg.
