If it's a presonus it would be using your firewire input, and for the m audio, i'm not sure they make usb ones and firewire ones. You should think about upping the ram on your pc though. But just for recording that should be alright. I'd get a presonus inspire, those look/function decent and are fairly inexpensive.

You really can't expand too much on the MBox Mini. It's really just a portable device. There are only 2 ins and 2 outs. What if down the line you want to add monitors? You'll need to get a mixer. Etc. Personally for me that's not enough. You do get to experience Pro Tools LE which, I assume you are a beginner you will find quite difficult to get the hang of. There are a lot of features in Pro Tools and if you have no prior experience, it can be a bit overwhelming. But if your a fast learner, and can handle a challenge, I recommend Pro Tools.

What's your budget like?

Well, I wouldn't strain for a pro tools setup quite yet, you should invest in the sound capturing area, which is what you want right? Doesn't matter if your interface or recording program is top notch, you'll need pop filters and a modest sound insulation solution to capture your vocals well.

You should also carefully ebay and craigslist most of your gear, the value drops pretty quick on most of it.
