Baycal you got wrong information. To qualify for an upgrade you usually need to be within 3 months of your contract expiration date. I'd hafta say if you still have a year then yer SOL

DJxRemarkable, yeah there's a vacation blackout date for part of June into July for employees...They did the same thing last year when the iPhone dropped

available for upgrade in 6 days!..yEeeEEEe!......but dang i hella wanted to get the tilt!...that phones dope!...but then i heard on here that the new blackberry bold or sumthing like that is gonna drop soon too!...anyone know when those new blackberrys are gonna drop cuz they look clean as fuck!...damm imma have to go do sum review reading now b4 my next phone!..oh well..im sure either or will be proper!

just saw a video and they compared the new iphone to the new blackberry bold thats dropping later this summer!...all i gotta say is that the iphone smokes it and blows it away!...honestly that bold didnt look really all that!.no touch screen or nothing..so i guess now its either the tilt or the iphone but at a reduced rate for only 200 bucks?..sheeiitt ..the choice aint that hard,...but mark 7 ,..wut do u recommend?..the tilt or the new iphone 3g?...i know the tilts been out a while now but i heard its a lil workhorse of a phone!....do they basically do all the same thing or wut?...wuts the difference out the 2 really besides the price?!?...and hell yea im sure theres gonna be people rushin to get one,...good thing my boy is manager at one here in town!

as far as 3 G.....3 G is so new that no one has to orry about it for t least 2-3 years...more people have problems with 3g than EDGE service, reps are selling 3g saying it helps reception... it dosent... dont buy a PDA if you dont use inet...get fucin cheap celly

WTF? 3G has been around for YEARS now on at&t homie...HSDPA/UMTS is already the new shit and in "2-3 years" 3G will seem like NOTHING trust that.

Any rep who sells a phone (which 99.99999% of AT&T phones are 3G now) saying it will "help reception" obviously works at a kiosk in the mall and sucks at life.

And STILL, ANY 3G PHONE WILL DIVERT BACK TO EDGE IF IT CAN'T FIND A 3G SIGNAL.....3G is just for data...No voice quality is gained.

I dunno how long you been at yer job but you might wanna hit the books a little more lol

And on a side note, why would you get in trouble for "answering q's" when none of this info is proprietary?


Now to the question about Tilt vs iPhone:

The Tilt is slick man. It's really just gonna be a question of personal preference. The reason I held off on an iPhone is the lack of 3G because it was BOUND to happen soon. Windows Mobile is cool and has alot of 3rd party apps available for it, but the SDK for the iPhone has been given to developers (some of them) to make alot more 3rd party apps for that too....Keep in mind you have a 30 day return policy, just keep your box, packaging and receipt....Try em both!

Well WWDC is tomorrow so we'll see what good 'ol Steve Jobs hasta say.

For the record I HATE CELL PHONE SALESMAN.....Although I have almost 8 years with at&t under my belt, 90% of them are douchebags. When I started with the company you really had to know your shit. Now they're hiring ex-Best Buy highschool kids who know squat. Sad, but they're cheaper to hire. I always recommend doing your own research online and then if you MUST go to a store, 1. Make sure it's a CORPORATE STORE and not an "authorized dealer" and 2. Know what you want when you go in.

I made alot of money from repeat customers because I never lied to them and always knew the product I was selling. The same can't be said for many reps now.

WELL WUT DO U RECOMMEND?...IF MARK HAD A CHOICE WIT ONLY THE TILT OR THE NEW IPHONE WIT 3G,...WUT WOULD U GO WITH?...SO ITS 30 DAYS?..SO IF I GET THE IPHONE AND TAKE IT BACK AND TRY THE TILT,..IF I DONT LIKE THE TILT CAN I GO BACK AND STILL GET THE IPHONE AGAIN?..AS LONG AS WITHIN 30 DAYS?OR AM I ONLY ALLOWED A CERTAIN # OF EXCHANGES WIT THESE PHONES?

you get one exchange that's why I'm sayin try them both

I'm goin with the iPhone dog....the new one has 3G/UMTS, a front facing camera for video calling and more. I've used a Treo 750 for the last year which runs windows mobile. It's cool but the GUI on the iPhone can't be touched no matter WHO makes a touchscreen phone.
