Astound Cable DVR Question

Does anybody know if theres a way to export the video from my Astound DVR to my computer? I know some boxes do, and I think you can with Comcast or an actual TiVo. Are there ways or workarounds for the Astound DVR's too?

you gonna need some software to do that. Don't believe you can do it with just the dvr and your computer

Ummmmmm, duh? A computer can't do much of anything without software.

AFAIK, you can't transfer the files recorded, but can play them and do real time recording only.

ive never had any problems with them. had them for over 2 years now and theyre cheaper than comcast...

I've been doing that but it works for shows that you're going to record. I think Underground is looking for a way to transfer the files that are already stored. That I have yet to do with my Comcast box
