Just curious . How long will you continue to put out albums? Produce albums...

Are you making the kind of money to recoup and live and pay bills off of?

What are you doing it for? I know many will say the LOVE of it... but love don't always pay the bills and alot of times will put you in the hole...

I'd like to see the various responses ... intellegent and honest responses.

Personally.. KVE wants to do more music in the future... but breaking new artists is very costly and will just about always put u in the hole. The game isnt the same as it was in 1999 when we put our debut album out. It's very hard to recoup let alone make any money. We released and re-released 7 albums in 2004 and didn't see much of nuthin off that shit. What are your thoughts...

Call me the Pee Wee Kirkland of rap. I might never make it to the NBA, but I can create a leauge of my own. I love rap, or better yet entertainment period. This rap is the main supplier of my revenue, but it helps in making business moves. The status I've created for myself and those that surround me is built off of wanting to provide something to the people in my city & state. I rap because it's theraputic, it's a hobby, and I can get paid off my own talents. Rap money is and always has been the new "Dope" money. I don't know what you spend on artist promotions and etc., but I do know my focus is to make it easier for those that come after me. It was hard for me, still is... but life is what you make it. So till I die, and my predacessors and heir to my throne die... never. If I'm able to provide guidence, knowledge, and a want for more thru this music... and it ain't making me broke.... why quit. Unless yo hustle just ain't treating you right. Remember, not everyone is built for this.

7) Get shitted on, and there stock drops
8) Only wanted an album, and there goal is accomplished.
9) get stuck in a dead end deal till it sucks the life out em

i'll put out shit as long as people feel what i'm trying to push. and until i get to where i want to get in this rap shit. my boy keeps telling me think big, beyond the bay area, cuz this market is so limited honestly.

me personally i am still in the red, but i've generated enough interest to think that i will at least break even and by the next project get into the blak. theres some more shit but i can't discuss that right now.

btw if i made 20k per project i'd be happy and thats honestly not that much.

The best advice you could get right now is, WRONG. The music game is not just like the dope game at all. If you want to be successful in the music business then you need to study the people who already are. Russell Simmons, Puffy, Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, etc... You want to make a million dollars, you learn from the cats who are making a million dollars. That $100,000 dude can't do nothin' but show you how to make $100,000, and that's a long way from a million homie.
