PHOENIX —

A 21-year-old man who refused a ride and tussled with a cab driver who tried to stop him from driving was dead a few minutes later after rolling his sport utility vehicle.

Witnesses told police that Caleb Schmidt was drinking late Friday into Saturday morning at a north Phoenix bar. They say they pleaded with him not to get behind the wheel early Saturday morning.

Police say Schmidt even tussled with a cabbie who tried to block him.

As he drove off, witnesses say Schmidt immediately lost control.

The SUV did a 180-degree-turn, struck a concrete median and hit a tree.

The vehicle rolled onto Schmidt, who had fallen out of an open door. Schmidt died in the accident.

Schmidt's blood alcohol content could not be determined at the time.

Ziiiiing! :siccness:

I can picture this happening to a number of Siccness memebers.

And I'd still laugh and make jokes.

Dude's a dip shit, and that bar is fucked up for over serving him. I get the whole making money and people wanna drink, but this situation unfortunately explains why there are LAWS about serving people who are obviously completely intoxicated.

Fucked up that he had to die like that, but thats his own fault. If you drink, you should know your limit. At the very least, have a designated driver or call a cab(which someone obviously did). But he refused, so what can you do?

I am thankful for the multiple alcohol related driving "infractions" that I have been arrested for. They have taught me a valuable lesson. I never hurt/injured anybody, but without it having happened to me, I might still be driving intoxicated to this day. Now, I won't drive if I have more than a few beers. And when I say I don't do it, I mean I don't fuck around at all. Whenever it is "my turn" to drive out, no bullshit, I tell me friends I got em on the taxi. If they don't like the idea then one of them can drive.

Some of you that are whining about being unsympathetic towards him dying are the same ones quick to make tons of puns when someone else dies or is badly hurt. I'd just like to point that out. Also, I'd like to point I'd said some, not all. So if you think I'm talking about you then you are probably right.
