Are the rumors and pics of the PS3 Slim true/real?

Sony says there are no plans for a ps3 slim, but these pics came the day of that announcement. E3 is on the 15th, so you can probably expect Sony to comment on this. You guys think it's fake?

they are still losing 40 bucks for every console they sell. A sony rep said they have no plans for a slim ps3. if you paid attention to Sony, they always release a smaller version of their consoles only once a newer console is out.

a smaller version would use cheaper chips because theyre smaller, they might still lose money but ppl will buy if they make it small and if it is cheaper maybe they will pass the saving to the consumers... this is all hopeful wishing though

Actually smaller chips would probably be more expensive.

Well bigger chips are usually more obsolete/cheaper then smaller chips that do the same thing.

Yeah, you can tell it's fake just by the title of the article
"Chinese Factory" . They just probably put the ps3 logo on there, but in actuality it's just a sega genesis.
