to start off, i want to say thanks to Apt.3 for doin the show. i came all the way from Hayward to Concord (it was worth every dollar and mile spent) by myself cuz my homies had shit to do.. fuck so did i, it was my pop's 50th birthday. i found the show more important haha, anyway, when i first got there, i was waiting for the admission staff to set up and i look over and see Mars and ADR chillin, i was shocked to see them in the flesh, i walked over to Mars, bought a cd off him and talked to him until it was showtime. forgive me my memory is a lil altered right now but here's the songs:
Malice went up first to do a cut: "No Means Yes" and then he took a break.
everyone was just chillin and i saw Big Ant and bought a 'Revenge Is Easy' shirt off him and he threw in the Apt. 3 soundtrack....
then T-Spoon came on to introduce the Devil himself; ADR,
to perform "Grave Digger,"
after that the nightbreed crew did "In The Name Of The Father,"
a freestyle over Ice Cube's "Ghetto Bird,"
then "King Of The Devil's Block,"
"Don't Slip,"
"Hellbound,"
"Walkin Assassin,"
and then some freestyle over that Bloods & Crips song "Slob 187" (anyone have more info on that?"
"Get Ready For Me,"
Grave Digger II? i think that's what it was..
and ended it with "Nasal Injection"
then Mars put on a solid performance with the "Mixrape"
"Do It"
and "Something's Wrong"
i didn't know much about Filthee Immigrants but one dude came up with a nice freestyle, using the letters in the word CHILD as an abbreviation for every word in the sentences of the song.
this was my first every Apt.3/DNA show. it was a killer show for an intimate crowd, intimate as in a smaller crowd than usual concerts. while i was smashin back to Hayward on 680 and 580, i was slappin ADR the whole time. i can't wait for more shows to come, good shit Apt.3, hopefully i'll meet Gabe next time..
