...look...viruses can get on to your computer, but they will do nothing to it, unless it enters through windows based applications (like anything from the Microsoft Suite: Excel, Word, Entourage...)...

...i have Norton Anti-Virus just for shits and giggles...i run it like once every two months and usually catch nothing...its up to you...

...what I would suggest is got get your self a system optimization application (my favorite is Onyx, its free) nd run that every couple of months, too...that'll keep your mac happy, man...

yeah you COULD do all that but i HIGHLY doubt (99.9999999999999%) you'll get a virus any time in the near future. i nor anyone with a mac that i know has any kind of anti-virus software.

...then..why do they make anti-virus software for macs? Thing is...i visit a huge filesharing forum (to remain nameless), and every now and then a virus comes through when i load a new page...norton picks it up immediately and quarantines it...

...now, will it affect me? NO...but do I want it there? again, no...why? because i could easily send it along to a friend that is a windows user, via e-mail, without even knowing it...

...no...full versions...some are freeware, some are shareware...but full versions nonetheless...

...if you're not willing to pay for them, there are other methods to find the serials/keys...
