You're right about locksmith, he did recycle his lyrics, and I didn't notice that until his bio came on and I saw him spittin a line in there, I was like: WTF?! - Red Dott was CHEATED... Flat out. I heard Nite say "fuckin" and I stood up like: "IF THEY LET THAT SHIT SLIDE FOR THE SAKE OF HER BEING A WOMAN I'M GOING TO FUCKIN FLIP!" - my little brother is like: "calm the fuck down dawg, it's just a battle" - lol, I thought for sure they were going to let that slide because she was a woman... I was noticing this whole vibe from La La like: "oh we gotta represent for the females, blah blah" special treatment type shit...

it seemed like a lot of them cats had previously written punchlines. You could tell their shit wasn't 100% freestyle, which is why that shit was weak to me. Not to say they didn't have tight punchlines, cause they did, but I just wasn't feelin it.

^ True, but there are always some writtins stuck back there to fall on if you fall off a bit, its like written filler, every battle rapper has done it, and plenty do it.. you can spot the ones that don't though, unless they are so good at hiding it you have no clue, I can't stand that sometimes though. Battle is a battle though and the chances are the 2 rappers going at it both are doing the same thing.

The people that they have hosting all look and sound like geeky kids taken right out of highschool. They are trying to copy BET's freestyle fridays and shit, because it was getting so popular.
Also ever since 8 mile came out every mainstream media source has been trying to jump on the underground scene.
